The Race

​

This race consists of a 5k, 10k, or half marathon distance.  The start and finish are located at the Pickall Area of Patapsco Valley State Park - 8125 Johnnycake Road, Windsor Mill, MD 21244.  A portion of the proceeds benefits Bigfoot Endurance, which is a nonprofit organization that raises money and awareness for Parkinson’s research.

Registration for this event is closed.  SHIRTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED TO ANY INDIVIDUALS WHO REGISTER AFTER FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 24TH.  WE HAVE A 100% NO DAY-OF REGISTRATION FORMAT THIS YEAR (EXCEPT FOR THE FAMILY FUN RUN, WHICH IS ENTIRELY SAME-DAY REGISTRATION).

Aid Stations

• Half Marathon:  Three (3) aid stations with water (Note:  One (1) of the three (3) aid stations also has Gatorade)

• 10k:  One (1) aid station with water

• 5k:  Zero (0) aid stations

Deferral and Bib Transfer Policy

​

All registrations are final.  No refunds.  Registration transfers are not permitted to other individuals or other events.  Race organizers reserve the right to delay or cancel the event due to extreme weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.  In the event of cancellation, we will issue refunds less the cost of the event t-shirt and any other third-party costs that we cannot recoup.

The Trail System

​

The Patapsco Valley State Park trail system is a highly technical trail system with steep grades, stream and river crossings, and plenty of roots and rocks!  Casual users are routinely surprised by the difficulty and backcountry feel.  Please register for events that will be challenging for you AND bring you back to event HQ with a smile on your face.  Know your limits and always participate within your capabilities!

Finding Bigfoot

​

Runners have the chance to win prizes by finding a Bigfoot playing card on the course and returning it to the Bigfoot Endurance tent after the race.  Prizes include water bottles from Specialized, socks from DeFeet, and a kolster from Yeti.  Limit one prize per runner.
